That means Theo Rossi's character could be The Batman franchise's version of the villain, perhaps using a fake name while really being Jonathan Crane. There are similarities between the characters, as both Julian and Jonathan are psychiatrists at Arkham Asylum. Based on how Rossi has played exciting villains in the past, namely Shades in Marvel's Luke Cage series, it would make sense for Julian Rush to be a new take on Scarecrow.

It's been nearly six years since Alita: Battle Angel hit theaters and despite years of fan petitions and calls, no proper progress has seemingly been made on the sequel, leaving many to wonder if it'll ever happen. Considering last year saw producer Jon Landau, who tragically passed away earlier this year, confirm James Cameron was still actively working on it, I don't think it's entirely out of the realm of possibility. If anything, I think the recent surge in success 20th Century Studios has seen both critically and commercially with the likes of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and Alien: Romulus, as well as their and Disney's ongoing relationship with Cameron for the Avatar franchise, may even see a greenlight come in the near future if a reasonable budget is landed on in negotiations.
