The celebration of Aidilfitri is one of the big celebrations for Muslims other than Aidiladha around the world. The way to celebrate Aidilfitri depends on the culture and customs of the local community. Here are the differences in celebrating Aidilfitri in several countries around the world.

In Arab countries, Eid celebrations usually last for three days. The traditional clothing worn is a robe for men and an abaya for women.

Like most places, they will visit the homes of friends and relatives while enjoying traditional food such as kenan, thareed and grilled meat.

Often the local community also secretly put a lot of food and various other gifts in front of the door of those in need as a sign of sharing joy.

At this festival, children will usually be given gifts in the form of packages filled with toys and sweets by adults.

Aidilfitri celebration in Turkey is known as  Seker Bayrami  . Unlike the culture of people who give gifts, they give duit raya to children.

Visiting events will be graced with dishes such as pastries, baklava and grilled meat while dressing in traditional clothing. Men will wear kaftans and women will wear abayas.

Aidilfitri celebration in Indonesia is known as Lebaran. Sharing the cultural customs of Turkey and other places, especially Malaysia, children will be given duit raya.

Traditional clothing is not much different from Malaysia, which is baju kurung or kebarung for women and baju Melayu for men.

Traditional food such as ketupat, opor ayam, vegetable lodeh and rendang are usually served. This meal is usually incomplete without a variety of colorful Raya cakes and biscuits.

In India, the Eid al-Fitr celebration is known as Eid-ul-Fitr or Choti Eid. It is celebrated with gusto in Muslim-majority regions such as Kashmir, Hyderabad and Lucknow.

Traditional clothes of various colors will be worn on this day, namely kurta for men and salwar kameez for women. Various traditional dishes like biryani, kebab and sewaiyan are served during the festival.

Aidilfitri in China is welcomed by Muslim ethnic minorities such as Hui, Uighur, Kazak, Uzbek, Tajik, Tatar, Kyrgyz, Salar, Dongxiang and Bonan.

In this country, they will pray Eid in a large area and eat in large quantities. Singing and dancing ceremonies brighten up the celebration. They also held a special ceremony to commemorate the Muslim population during the Qing Dynasty.

The mandatory menu served at the Aidilfitri festival is noodles or lamian served in meat soup or other soups with various flavors.

In the African continent, countries such as Senegal, Gambia and Nigeria celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with Eid prayers in the grasslands or wide fields.

People wear traditional clothes called boubou or kaftans decorated with cheerful patterns. The traditional food served is thieboudienne (rice and fish), yassa (chicken or meat seasoned with lemon sauce) and jollof rice which is rice cooked with tomato sauce and other spices.

It has become common throughout the world for Muslims to celebrate Aidilfitri with joy.

After a month of mujahadah in the month of Ramadan, make the celebration of this festival done with simplicity and keeping the norms of Sharia boundaries.

Don't spoil Aidilfitri with frivolous entertainment or mix it with evil things. Keep decorating yourself continuously with the practices and morals that you worked on during the last month of Ramadan.
